Volvo’s upcoming fully electric EX60 has been named one of Newsweek’s Most Anticipated New Vehicles of 2026 in the United States and Canada, according to a press release dated December 17, 2025.
Built on Volvo Cars’ latest technology platform, the EX60 is expected to deliver the longest electric range ever achieved by the brand, along with a next-generation user experience. As Volvo’s first fully electric premium midsize SUV, it represents a key step in the company’s transition toward full electrification.
“The upcoming Volvo EX60 will deliver electric power and Volvo’s trademark Scandinavian style in 2026,” said Eileen Falkenberg-Hull, senior editor at Newsweek.
The EX60 will debut a world-first multi-adaptive safety belt and will be unveiled on January 21, 2026. Production is scheduled to begin in the first half of 2026 in Gothenburg, Sweden.
