Here is news Ram truck enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting: Stellantis is bringing back the V8 HEMI option under the hood of its 2026 Ram pickup trucks.

As previously hinted a few months ago, American automaker Chrysler, part of the Stellantis group, has officially announced that the legendary 5.7-litre V8 HEMI is once again available as an option on the 2026 Ram lineup. This iconic engine, equipped with the eTorque mild-hybrid system, produces 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. It will be offered with the GT Performance Exhaust system and will be available, among others, in the Express and Black Express trims.

In addition to new exterior colours, the 2026 Ram will also be available for buyers who prefer not to opt for a V8 with the standard 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 featuring the eTorque system, producing 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. Buyers will also be able to choose the 3.0-litre Hurricane inline-six, offered in versions producing 420 horsepower and 469 lb-ft of torque, or 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque.
