Boulder, Hyundai’s Concept SUV

South Korean automaker Hyundai took advantage of the latest major North American auto show in New York to present the latest project from its design team, the Boulder.

It’s clear that if Hyundai decides to put this vehicle into production, it was designed to compete with highly popular models such as the Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco, and even the Land Rover Defender.

Notably, the SUV’s body is built on a rigid body-on-frame architecture, which is also expected to serve as the foundation for a pickup truck currently under development, possibly by 2030.

The Boulder could enter production as early as 2028 and would be assembled in the United States.
