The Ram 1500 REV delayed again

According to reliable sources from Crain’s Detroit Business, it appears that Stellantis’s electrified version of the Ram, the 1500 EV, which was meant to compete with the Ford F-150 Lightning and the Chevrolet Silverado EV, will be delayed once more. Originally slated for late 2024, this pickup truck was first pushed to early 2025 and then to 2026. Now, thanks to Detroit Business’s contacts among Stellantis suppliers, we’ve learned that the next possible date would be summer 2027 as a 2028 model. It should be noted that Stellantis will not build the earlier revealed extended-range version.

However, what Stellantis confirmed is that the launch of the plug-in hybrid Ram 1500 Ramcharger (PHEV) was also postponed and would only be available in early 2026. Why? It would be because of an extended quality validation period, according to Stellantis.
