Legendary British exotic car manufacturer Aston Martin has just unveiled its first street-legal motorcycle, the AMB 002 Roadster. Designed and built in collaboration with fellow British brand Brough Superior, the new motorcycle follows the track-only AMB 001 and AMB 001 Pro models developed by the two companies.
Since it's intended for public roads, the AMB 002 is a little more "civilized." Rather than pursuing a Formula 1-like power-to-weight ratio, it produces 130 horsepower while weighing just 190 kilograms (approximately 419 pounds). Power comes from a water-cooled, four-stroke 1,083-cc V-twin engine mounted in a titanium frame. According to Aston Martin, the frame is machined from a solid billet of titanium and weighs only 5 kilograms (approximately 11 pounds), helping keep the entire motorcycle remarkably light.
The styling is equally exciting. Exposed carbon-fibre body panels give the motorcycle a dark, particularly aggressive appearance. At the rear, the twin exhaust outlets feature ribbed heat sinks reminiscent of those found on Aston Martin sports cars, while the taillights pay direct tribute to the distinctive rear lighting elements of the brand's hypercars.
Each motorcycle will be hand-built at Brough Superior's headquarters in Toulouse, France. However, production will remain extremely limited, with just 300 examples destined for customers worldwide. First deliveries are scheduled for the third quarter of 2027.
