Firestone, a subsidiary of Bridgestone Americas (Bridgestone), has just announced the launch of its new Destination LE4 highway touring tire. The new model replaces the Destination LE3, one of Firestone's best-selling tires. It features deeper tread depth and a non-directional tread pattern. According to the manufacturer, the Destination LE4 also delivers longer tread life and improved performance on wet roads and in light snow.
The Destination LE4 is now available in 65 sizes for wheels ranging from 15 to 22 inches. Firestone points out that this lineup offers extensive vehicle coverage, surpassing many competing highway tire lines in that respect. The new tire is primarily intended for owners of crossovers, SUVs, pickup trucks and certain larger utility vehicles. Among the models it is designed to fit are the Mazda CX-5, Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Chevrolet Trailblazer and Nissan Armada.
