American electric truck manufacturer Rivian has officially broken ground on its very first Canadian dealership. The 2,600-square-metre facility will be located in Laval and is expected to open in 2026, coinciding with the launch of its more affordable R2 SUV model.

Rivian entered the Canadian market in 2022, beginning sales in British Columbia before expanding to Alberta, Ontario, and finally Quebec, where it currently operates from a temporary location in Ville Mont-Royal, in the suburb of Montreal.
