LOCAL BODYSHOP DONATES $5,000 TO CYSTIC FIBROSIS CANADA
CARSTAR Bridgewater, based in Nova Scotia, is giving back to their local community in a meaningful way. CARSTAR Bridgewater recently made a $5,000 contribution to the Cystic Fibrosis Canada—Nova Scotia Chapter after bidding the highest amount for the World Junior Team Canada Jersey. The one-of-a-kind jersey is signed by all players and serves as a symbol of CARSTAR Bridgewater’s continued dedication in the fight to find a cure for cystic fibrosis.
The benefactors behind this donation are the owners of CARSTAR Bridgewater, Kevin and Wendy Emino. Kevin and Wendy had the honour of connecting with CARSTAR’s cystic fibrosis representative and cystic fibrosis family to present the cheque in a heartwarming presentation.
“This community has cared for us for several years and it fills me with great pride that we are in a position to return the favour,” said Kevin Emino, co-owner of CARSTAR Bridgewater. “CARSTAR has been raising funds for cystic fibrosis research for over 25 years and it has been a great joy to participate in their selfless mission. We look forward to continuing our efforts to donate to such an incredible organization.”
May is National Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month and this donation lays the groundwork for the important work that will continue in the coming months. Contributions such as this one from the Emino family fund clinical trials provide care for patients and advocate for new treatments like breakthrough drugs.
This location has been a CARSTAR for over a decade and the Emino’s donation is a way to give back to the community that has supported them for all these years.
