TRAC SYMPOSIUM TO BE HELD IN HALIFAX OCTOBER 4–5, 2023
By Isabelle Havasy
Halifax, Nova Scotia will host the next Tire and Rubber Association of Canada (TRAC) Rubber Recycling Symposium. The event, to be held on October 4–5, 2023 at the Lord Nelson Hotel, will focus on both the exciting developments and the challenging issues in sustainable tire production, and End-of-Life (ELT) tire management and market development.
Guest speakers will address a variety of topics, including global legislative challenges in ELT management, tire manufacturers’ drive to sustainability, emerging technologies and challenges in tire and rubber recycling, extended Producer Responsibility models across Canada, Rubber Modified Asphalt, Tire Derived Aggregate, and other material recovery applications. The event will also feature a panel discussion with CEOs.
Now one of the largest events in the field, the biennial TRAC symposium attracts hundreds of key industry players. Sponsored by Divert NS in partnership with the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association, the 2023 edition “creates a meeting place where industry leaders can participate in thought-provoking panels and ample networking opportunities, while working toward the cooperative development of an environmentally sustainable industry.”
